We just don’t have a ZANUPF problem, but a Zimbabwean problem. The problems that we face as a country are seriously cultural.

I say so because the opposition just like ZANUPF also has choreographed congresses as you have confirmed and as we have known.
It means that there is no internal party democracy when the leaders have already been selected by the president and his people! But Zimbabweans are not yet ready for that national conversation because they don’t want to accept that the problem is national and not just partisan, society is "zanufied" for lack of a better term!

The problems that we face as a country are seriously cultural.
They are very complex challenges that go beyond partisan politics.
The leadership issues that the country is grappling with are deeply rooted in societal structures, historical factors and cultural broader systems.

It is quite evident that when there is a lack of genuine internal democracy within political parties, it limits the choices available to the electorate and it seriously hinders the development of a robust democratic system at both party and national levels.
Parties govern a country as they are run!
