The deputy secretary general of the Zimbabwe Confederation of Public Sector Trade Unions, Mr Gibson Mushangu, who is representing government workers in these negotiations, says that as workers, they have some requests for the government to address the workers' demands which they have not yet received.
Mr Mushangu says the civil servants are demanding that the lowest paid worker be paid US$840.00, in addition to the government fulfilling some of the promises it has given.
We have not been able to contact those representing the government in these discussions.

The two groups are expected to meet again next week on Thursday.
This meeting is coming at a time when some workers under the Amalgamated Rural Teachers' Union of Zimbabwe, ARTUZ, are on strike saying they want their salaries to start at 1,200 US dollars per month.
